Official Announcement: Invitation to Industrial Exposure for TVET Trainers starting tomorrow


The Rwanda TVET Board (RTB) is pleased to announce an exciting professional development opportunity for TVET trainers across the country. In collaboration with GIZ/ICON Institut through the Skills Development for Youth Employment (SD4T) program, RTB is organizing a 20-day industrial exposure program for selected teachers in key technical and vocational education disciplines. ONLY 60 CANDIDATE ARE SELECTED

Program Overview

The initiative, which will run from August 4th to August 23rd, 2025, aims to enhance the practical and industrial skills of TVET teachers in the following trades:

  • Fashion Design
  • Interior Design
  • Wood Technology
  • Forestry
  • Multimedia

This exposure is an important step towards aligning the skills of TVET trainers with real industry needs and technological advancements. Teachers will be placed in professional working environments to gain hands-on experience, industry insight, and innovative practices that they can bring back to their classrooms.

Placement Locations

The industrial exposure will be conducted at various partner institutions across four districts:

  • Kigali: A.CO.FO.PRO, Dikam, Uwacu Ltd, Wood Expert, Brick TV
  • Bugesera: Umurage Design
  • Musanze: Economat General
  • Karongi: Wood Services

Support and Facilitation

All expenses related to the industrial exposure, including transport, meals, and accommodation, will be fully covered by the GIZ/ICON Institut under the SD4T program. Participation is contingent upon an official signed mission order.

This program will be implemented under close coordination with district authorities and school administrators. RTB has officially requested all District Mayors and Executive Administrators, including the Gasabo District Executive Administrator, to grant permission for the participation of selected staff members whose names are included in the attached lists.
